Briony is an environmental scientist with more than a decade of experience in mine rehabilitation, natural resources, and nature conservation.?She has dedicated much of her career to research across private, public, nonprofit, and academic institutions in both Australia and Canada.
With a PhD in soil ecology, Briony specializes in restoring disturbed ecosystems. She collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to support rehabilitation programs, develop strategic plans, and conduct research on mine closure for projects in Canada and Australia. She’s passionate about creating holistic, nature-based solutions to restore land after mining, while also designing strategies to measure their success.
Outside of her ecosystem restoration work, Briony enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and actively participating in her community.
