Catie has more than a decade of experience in aquatic ecology, working on a range of freshwater and marine ecology projects across the globe. Studying the ecology of fish and the habitats they use, she has worked in research and consultancy. She has used geomorphological techniques to quantify the quality of fish spawning habitats in rivers. Her research has also focused on diets, growth, and movement of several freshwater fish species.
Experienced in working within various partnerships, Catie strives to make scientific work accessible to different audiences. She also has several years of marine experience, from UK sea grass surveys and professional diving qualifications to underwater visual census surveys on reefs in East Africa.
When she isn’t helping protect and restore aquatic environments, Catie enjoys going on long walks in nature and scrambling up mountains.
