Committed to innovation in archaeological science and public engagement, Alex is a digital archaeologist with more than 15 years of experience in geospatial technologies, digital heritage, and community-based research. Bringing novel approaches to cultural resource management, he integrates tools like UAV (drone) mapping, geospatial technologies, LiDAR, and 3D modeling to document and preserve archaeological landscapes, architecture, and artifacts.
Alex works collaboratively and internationally on archaeological projects, blending traditional and digital methods creatively to fit overall project needs. In the US, most of his archaeological work has been focused on historic cemetery projects where he’s developed custom digital workflows for survey and excavation.
Away from his digital archaeological work, Alex enjoys exploring new destinations, savoring delicious cuisine, and spending quality time with family and friends. He's always on the hunt for the perfect cup of coffee and has a particular love for a well-crafted espresso.
